Frustrated with your current skincare regimen? Looking to try something new? My minimalist beauty skincare routine is perfect for achieving a natural glow you want on your wedding day! Everyone’s skin is different, so take the time to see if these minimalist products work for you. This pre-wedding beauty routine might become your long-term skincare solution!
I almost never wear makeup, but when I do I use Meow Meow Tweet Makeup Remover & Cleansing Oil. This product is discontinued, but you can substitute it with their new Lemon Rose Cleansing Oil which duos as a makeup remover!
I alternate between two different cleansers. Depending on your skin, you can use one or both like me! In the morning I use Meow Meow Tweet Face Cleanser which is a gentle and creamy. At night when I shower I use Finchberry Charcoal Tea Tree Detox vegan face soap, which is more exfoliating and purifying. I’ve actually only been using Finchberry for a few weeks because the boutique I shop at no longer orders my usual Shea Terra African Black Soap. I am a big fan of Shea Terra, but have had to use numerous brands over the years out of convenience. I find that charcoal soaps in general work great at clearing skin of blemishes.
Meow Meow Tweet Geranium Frankincense Body Oil is a multi-use moisturizer. I use it on my face, body, and even my hair. It is a great 3-in-1 product that fits in a minimalist lifestyle. Oils are great for both dry and oily skin, and make oily skin less greasy. Plus, the geranium and frankincense in this oil fade scars and dark spots! For sunny outdoor days, be sure to protect your skin with a sunscreen as well. My favorite is Babo Botanicals Daily Sheer SPF 40 Sunscreen, along with many of their other sunscreen products!
Meow Meow Tweet Rosemary Eucalyptus Vegan Lip Balm is the holy grail of lip balms! It is smooth, luxurious, moisturizing, and non-drying. I no longer have chronic chapped lips! The tube is huge but lasts forever, especially because I don’t have to reapply so often throughout the day. This lip balm is multi-use and can be applied to lips, hands, and dry skin. Alternatively you can try Meow Meow Tweet Repair Balm, which is similar and can also be applied to lips, hands, cuticles and body. I keep a tube of the repair balm in my bathroom, and a tube of the vegan lip balm in every bag!
I don’t have a problem with my under eye area, but I wanted to include 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream as a potential treatment for those who have dark circles and puffiness. It has thousands of rave reviews, so if it intrigues you I’d recommend you try it! I do have a problem with occasional blemishes though. Whenever a pimple pops up, I use dōTERRA Tea Tree (Melaleuca) essential oil, and it clears up in a couple days! Luckily I don’t have problem skin anymore thanks to my minimalist beauty skincare routine, but whenever I have little blemishes this works wonders.
If the hilarious ads for Lumē haven’t convinced you to try their deodorant yet, allow me to sing their praises! Lumē is the only deodorant that has truly worked for me. Out of all the deodorants I have tried, it is a healthier option, is long-lasting, keeps me fairly dry without being an anti-perspirant, smells better, and doesn’t give me rashes. I can’t go back to anything else!
I hope this minimalist beauty pre-wedding skincare routine introduced you some amazing products that will become to your new favorites! Want more wedding tips and photography behind-the-scenes? Follow me on Instagram @alexandriasalmieri to stay updated on all the fun!
